Vitaei catalogues every compound, intervention, and protocol implicated in the biology of aging — organised by the twelve hallmarks framework and David Sinclair's Information Theory of Aging. Each entry is assigned an evidence tier based on human trial weight, independently assayed for purity against a reference standard, and cross-priced across verified vendors.
Multiple randomised controlled trials in humans with consistent results. Effect sizes are meaningful and replicated across independent labs. Examples: creatine, omega-3, vitamin D3.
At least one well-designed RCT in humans, or multiple observational studies with plausible mechanism. Results are promising but not yet definitive. Examples: NMN, spermidine, fisetin.
Human trials are small, short, or show inconsistent results. Animal or in-vitro data is strong but human translation is uncertain. Examples: urolithin A (pre-Phase III), pterostilbene.
Evidence is primarily from animal models, cell culture, or mechanistic reasoning. No meaningful human trial data yet. Examples: klotho, GDF11, senolytics (most).
Every molecule in the index is assigned an evidence tier based on the weight of human trial data, not manufacturer claims, influencer endorsements, or theoretical mechanisms alone. We update tiers when new data is published.
Vitaei earns affiliate commission when users purchase through our links (Amazon Associates, iHerb Rewards). This commission does not influence evidence tier assignments, which are determined independently by the editorial team. We do not accept sponsored placements, paid inclusions, or promotional fees from supplement manufacturers.
Evidence tiers are assigned by reviewing PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, and Cochrane for human RCTs, meta-analyses, and systematic reviews. Animal and in-vitro data are noted but do not elevate a tier. Dose ranges are taken from the highest-quality human trial showing the primary outcome. Prices are cross-referenced across at least three verified vendors.
